| I've been thinking of building a fire fist deck IRL. Don't know if anyone has experience with building them (i've seen a post up before here from obsidian) but is it possible to build a budget deck with them? Which play style is more consistent/competitive 3-axis or 4-axis? any of the new cards worth playing? How much would a main deck cost?

| They're coming down in price since they're not in the top 4 anymore, but that being said I'm unaware of their current match-ups with the top 4. It might actually be better for you to build a Mermail deck with Abyssmegalo reprinted in the new battle pack that's now out. That's personally what I would do. | |

Thanks for that input axel, so far my summer theme has been with playing with fire so right now i'm just getting down to fire fist theme and their potential. they did seem to get out of range from the top tier deck radar floating around (which brings prices down too . i've done many water deck themes but mermails has never really got me to be interested in playing them. their effects activating from being costs (while being good) is such a weird ruling for me and just didn't seem right. I never have any problems playing with under-themed or under-represented decks as long as i like how they flow. So as of now, i will probably not even worry about getting the cards outright but rather would like to just test them out in DN to see if it is worth the purchase price in regards to me playing with the theme. | |
